Ukrainian Venture Capital & Private Equity Association

The Vovk Foundation 501(c)3 is pleased to announce that it has joined the Ukrainian Venture Capital and Private Equity Association (UVCA). UVCA, a member of Invest Europe, was established to spread the word about Ukraine’s achievements and opportunities and to support investors in every aspect, from providing reliable information to establishing international connections at the industry and government levels. UVCA shapes the future direction of the private equity industry by promoting investment opportunities of Ukraine, representing interests of private equity investors to policymakers and improving the investment and business climate of Ukraine.

“The mission of UVCA is to build the bridge between Ukrainian and global investment and startup ecosystems, match investors with Ukrainian entrepreneurs,” says Dmytro Kuzmenko, CEO of UVCA. “However, we cannot foster the growth of Ukrainian investment market without supporting Ukrainian startups. With this idea, we are initiating and implementing a lot of projects which provide young entrepreneurs with opportunities to present their products on the global market, learn practical things from leading experts and investors.”

The Vovk Foundation was established in 2023 to offer assistance and support to Ukrainians and those of Ukrainian ancestry. Its mission is three-pronged, just like the trident on the Ukrainian coat of arms.

  • Provide opportunities for students, entrepreneurs, engineers, and scientists to advance their scholarship and work in the face of the unjustified and savage invasion of Ukraine by the nation of russian terrorists.
  • Address enormous material losses to scientific and educational infrastructure.
  • Amplify the facts about Ukraine and Ukrainian Nationalism.

“We are very pleased to partner with UVCA and play an active role as it supports one of the critical focus areas for our foundation, namely, entrepreneurship and new technology development,” says Yurij Wowczuk, director of The Vovk Foundation. “Our missions are aligned and this commitment will help deliver strong and sustainable growth of the Ukrainian venture ecosystem.”
